Message from the Treasurer – LAST CHANCE

In 2022 we increased membership fees from £10 to £12 for a single membership
and from £15 to £18 for a joint membership (only open to current or previous GLP
owners). Renewal is on 1 st October each year and once again this year we have
people failing to pay the appropriate increased rate. This means we are now
chasing £2 or £3 for the third year in a row. The work and time involved is
disproportionate, and it is very frustrating for our Membership Secretary when
chaser emails are continually ignored.

The Committee have therefore agreed that from 1 st October 2024, anyone who
does not pay sufficiently for their appropriate membership subscription will not be
considered a member for the purposes of preference or reduced cost in any Club
events, or receipt of the newsletter. Invoices will be sent by email for any shortfall
from previous years. Thereafter, no additional chase messages or emails will be
sent – it is your responsibility as a member to ensure your subscription is correct
and up to date to gain access to member benefits. There will be no refund of
underpaid membership fees.

You can go onto the website and pay by Stripe which will ensure your membership
rate of pay is correct.
