Where to meet a German Longhaired Pointer
The club makes every effort to exhibit at all the events available for meet and greet. Throughout the year, volunteers bring their German Longhaired Pointers to 3 major venues to meet the public beginning in March at Crufts in the Discover Dogs area, in July at the Gamefair in the sporting dog pavilion and in November at the ExCel centre in London Discover Dogs event.

The following events offer a great opportunity to meet a German Longhaired Pointer in the flesh, and speak to owners first hand about the breed.
CRUFTS
Crufts is an event that has an excellent Discover Dogs section where you can meet the German Longhaired Pointer and their owners.
Venue: Crufts is held at The NEC, outside Birmingham.
Dates: Crufts is held annually in March: 2025 dates are 6th – 9th March.
Gundog Day: Saturday 8th March.
THE GAME FAIR
The Game Fair is also run annually in late July and runs for a whole weekend. The German Longhaired Pointers can be found in the Sporting Dog Pavilion.
Venue: 2024 venue will be Blenheim Palace, Oxfordshire
Dates: Held annually. 2024 dates are 26th – 28th July
DISCOVER DOGS
Discover Dogs is held annually at ExCel London and generally takes place in November. This is a fantastic opportunity to meet, greet and discover different breeds of dog, learn about the distinctive personalities, traits and looks of each breed. Come along and meet a German Longhaired Pointer in the flesh and find out more about our breed.
