ENTRIES – Online entries for the German Longhaired Pointer Club Open Show via Higham Press close at 12 noon on Monday 15th July 2024 and postal entries close on Monday 29th July 2024.
Online and postal entries for the City of Birmingham Championship show close at 12 noon on Monday 15th July 2024.

Schedules for both shows are available and online entries can be made via the Higham Press website www.highampress.co.uk Please support both our show, where there are beautiful rosettes and trophies to be won, and the City of Birmingham championship show classes by entering your GLP. It would be great to see as many as possible of our lovely breed together. Some of the championship show classes are Crufts qualifiers too. If you have never shown your dog before or are fairly new to showing there are Special Beginners classes which you can enter as well as the other classes. The City of Birmingham have also scheduled Good Citizen classes for dogs which have achieved their Good Citizen Bronze award certificate or above. This year the GLPC have also scheduled Award Classes which will take place after the main Club open show and will be judged by a different judge to the main Club show. Award classes are to boost a judge’s hands on experience of the breed and so it is hoped that they will attract a high entry. As well as rosettes for 1st to 5th placings there is also prize money on offer for the winner of each class. If you need help with learning how to show your dog or want more practice then do go to your nearest ringcraft classes where you will get guidance and encouragement by people experienced in the dog showing world. |
