The GLPC is hosting a practical hands-on masterclass training day for aspiring show handlers and their dogs.
Consisting of ringcraft tuition and a handling assessment by Nicole Coe, the class will have access to indoor and outdoor ring areas.
For her day job, Nicole is a Veterinary Nurse, Animal Physiotherapist and Small Animal Hydrotherapist, but her passion is the Show Ring. Nicole is a very experienced handler and grew up in a family with GSP’s. Aged 9, she was showing Flatcoats and progressed to junior handling; after pestering her parents for a show dog for many years, at 15 Nicole showed her own show GSP Abbeyaire Dark Secret. Gaining 6th at the JHA semi-finals gundog day in 1997, Nicole went on to compete in adult handling earning Reserve Best Handler at the first Coventry Adult Handling Finals.
Nicole has handled most gundog and all HPR breeds in the ring, her highlight being BoB Crufts 2018 with Int Sh Ch, NI Ch, Lux Ch, Bel CH, DT Ch VDH, Swiss Sh Ch, Benelux Ch, Ir Sh Ch Friarsbelle Marshmellow. Showing in both the UK and Europe, Nicole is also a Show Judge for all HPR breeds, Cocker Spaniels and Flatcoats and enjoyed her first season on the Field Trial circuit with her GSP Tayto.
